The rapper many consider to possess the best flow and delivery of Los Angeles hip hop collective OFWGKTA, compiled another great track late Tuesday night put over beats by Jonti. Hodgy Beats, second half of Left Brain in Odd Future’s rap duo MellowHype, not only delivers ill lyrical content on this track, but does it in a way that sounds as if it was inspired by the beat. No matter what becomes of Odd Future and its hot out the gate appearance in the underground music community, it is clear this young Pasadena prospect is going to make a wave on the hip hop community. Fans of the more sensitive side of hip hop collective Odd Future eagerly waited for the Def Jam drop of Frank Ocean’s official release of Nostalgia Ultra this past Wednesday. While the rumors proved untrue for the release date, Frank Ocean still provided his fans with a teaser as he posted a stream of his new track “Thinking About You” on his Tumblr, right before taking it down! The delay for the album has not been announced, but music blogs were able to still pickup this track and push it near the top of internet music charts. In the meantime, Ocean’s “Novocane” is still enjoying extensive radio play and sits at #17 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart. Enjoy this track as you prepare for this incredibly talented mellow R&B singer. Listen UP. RABBLE on.
After listening to singer/songwriter Frank Ocean the words psychotic and terrifying would more than likely not resonate with you. These words have been used to describe trending Los Angeles based rap group Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All. But Ocean is in fact a core member of OFWGKTA and shares the same “next big thing” reputation that music blogs across the nation are raving about. His swag is that of high schoolers’ beloved Drake, but his flow suggests much more authenticity. I recommend you checkout the free mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra that he recently dropped. In the meantime enjoy this ill track.

OFWGKTA, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, is pure<–irony–>hip-hop. This left-coast hip-hop collective featuring artists such as Tyler Creator, Domo Genesis, Taco Bennett, Earl Sweatshirt, Left Brain, Hodgy Beats, Jasper and Mike G, is bringing horror back into the hip-hop community. These cats walked on the front stage from the backdoor, dropping mixtapes and magazine interviews every chance they got. Now they got their swagger, making their first major appearance at this year’s Coachella. Take away the beautiful and you’re left with a dark twisted fantasy.
