Your Song | Ellie Goulding | Butch Clancy Remix

Elton John wrote it. Ewan McGregor performed it. Ellie Gouding reworked it. Butch Clancy mashed it. We’re referring to the ballad that is considered to be one of the top songs of all time. But whose song is it? Frankly, it’s everybody’s song. But most importantly, it’s “Your Song.” The story that this classic tells paints a setting that almost any person can picture. The rise and fall of its notes evoke emotions that are remembered with each generation. In a 1975 Rolling Stone interview John Lennon recalled the first time he heard it and thinking it was “the first new thing that’s happened since [The Beatles] happened.

Detroit-based DJ Butch Clancy takes the elegant reproduction of “Your Song” by Ellie Goulding, and in his well known fashion takes a popular track and adds a certain amount of filth that creates for one great dubstep remix. Let this track take hold as you dive into the rest of the week. Listen UP. RABBLE on.
