A Tasty Treat

Here is a special 4.20 mix from one of our favorite lyrical artists, Zumbi from Zion I. From the city of Oakland, Zumbi has been a hub for musical creativity for many years. Whether with Amplive, The Grouch, or Rebelution – Zumbi has displayed his ability to please many crowds around the world. Download the FREE mix HERE!

Chali 2na | Harmony Project Interveiw

This man has a voice like no other. His style of music and art give him a vibe unlike any other musician. Popularized by the group Jurassic 5, Charles Stewart, or better known as Chali 2na, made his way into the limelight with confidence and humility. Alike many other hip-hop artists, Charles too was told that he would never make it as an artist and he should find himself a “real job”. I think I speak for many music enthusiasts when I say I am very happy that he listened to his gut on this one.

AMPlify your Life

AmpLive, most commonly known for his collaboration with Zumbi in Zion I Crew, has taken his musical talents to a whole new level. He is quickly building a reputation as one of California’s most talented and diverse music producers/DJs. AmpLive has done work for ESPN, SportsCenter, America’s Next Top Model, and much more. Back in 2008, I fell in love with Amp’s Radiohead “Rainydayz Remixes” which included hits from Del the Funky Homosapien, but I have fallen head-over-heels for his newest “Love EP”. So Many…Many Stylez

Zion-I and Rebelution have played side-by-side in concert many times in the last year. This is a dynamic duo that I presume you will be hearing a lot from in the next year to come. Here is a song from Zion-I’s upcoming album called “Many Stylez” Featuring Rebelution.

And here is a link to a couple remixes that AMPLIVE (Zion-I’s right-hand man and famous DJ) has done over Rebelution’s “Otherside” and “Safe and Sound”.

Everything In It’s Right Place | AmpLive

Every person has those moments that they will never forget. First kiss, first time driving, first time getting high, and most importantly, first time being moved by a live musical performance to the point of nirvana. The year was 2006, the location was Bonnaroo Music Festival, and the band was Radiohead. Regardless of the days experimentation and adventures, that moment, standing with the only person who shared the same love of Thom Yorke and company as I did, will never be erased from my mind. Radiohead conducted one of the most theatrical and moving sets I have witnessed to this day. There was something in the air that night, and it wasn’t the smell of the bohemian youth surrounding us. No, it was something much more. It was “Everything In It’s Right Place,” the exact. fucking. right. place! I wish I could sit here and describe Radiohead using colorful vocabulary and emotion, but the fact is, this band has too many elements to be broken down into words. This band is the modern music revolutionary. There landmark internet release of In Rainbows for free in 2007 is just one staple of their incredible career.  I am definitely a skeptic of other artists’ attempts to recreate or remix the ingenious work of Radiohead, but AmpLive on his album Raindayz Remixes proved to be quite impressive. Not to mention it is available for free as the group would have wanted it. So be open-minded and tune in. Listen UP. RABBLE on.
