Summer Rejects: New Mixtape | Minnesota

Many eyes were opened along with many festival gates this summer where bass rattled brains and synths brought out the love. The electronic genre has grown exponentially fast in the United States Of America with new tracks being released on the daily and shows selling out in all major cities. One of those artist who has many dub lovers hearts is Minnesota who just concluded a long summer of traveling, Djing, producing, and partying all over the country. He recently just played at Abstract Festival which featured artist Mimosa, Arty, Flying Lotus, Tommy Trash, and more. On his Facebook he noted that he hadn’t released any new tracks to his SoundCloud followers lately, so he decided to give us his summer reject mixtape FREE that is loaded with six fresh tracks to bob your head to until the fuzzy redhead is in your neck of the woods spinning fire.

Here’s a couple tracks on the tape to give a listen:
Speak To Me – Breathe (Minnesota Remix)
Last Jungle (Minnesota Remix)

Colorstorm I NEW Bassnectar Mixtape

A good friend of mine brought some great news to my ears today, and I’m returning the favor by passing it on. (Here at UP There we’re all about returning the favor.)

Bassnectar has a new mixtape and its being released today. He’s already given consent to spread it like jelly via twitter so tell your all your friends: Bassnectar is bringing the SLAPS. Showcasing unreleased tracks as well as a few older favorites, he incorporates sounds buried deep within his musical archive and introduces new melodies and direction for the future of his sound. Basically, he pays respect to his chiller, older classics but lets you know you’re about to feel the bass. Check it out/DL it below. Colorstorm by Ki//aMac The release couldn’t come at a more perfect time as our friends at The Collective Effort and Otter Productions prepare to take Bassnectar’s Divergent Spectrum tour to the Avila Beach Resort just south of San Luis Obisbo this Friday. GET TICKETS HERE See you there!

Let The Beat Build I Nyle

From West Philadelphia born and raised comes a soulfull hip-hop artist that goes by the name of Nyle, but instead of spending most of his days on the playground he spent is time making music. He now resides in the L.A. of the east coast New York where in 2007 he caught peoples attention with his first album in “Frosh“. The video below came out 5 months ago and it is obvious this guys got a certain uniqueness to him. He does a video remix to Lil’ Waynes “Let The Beat Build” where he walks through a studio and incorporates live musicians to produce a video that is quite entertaining. He just came out with a new free mixtape Trailer, it has some old school hip-hop beats covered by vocals that reminds me of mos def and lyrical flow sounds like Common. Overall, I’m diggin the mixtape and the videos so I thought I’d Rabble it to you. ^
